FAFSA  PIN Registration
A FAFSA PIN allows you and your parent(s) to electronically sign the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The PIN simplifies the application process and allows you to get results faster.

Students and parents should apply for a PIN.  It takes approximately 5 minutes to apply for a PIN and around two days to receive your PIN via email. Once you receive the PIN by email, be sure to copy the PIN as it will be erased from the server once you exit for security purposes. You will also receive a letter from the Federal government with a copy of your PIN number in approximately one week. Apply for your pin at: www.pin.ed.gov

Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available January 1, 2010.

What is FASFA?  They call it the FAFSA, and it's your ticket to a college education. Not sure where, or even if, you want to go to college? That's ok.  You will need to complete the FAFSA to receive other loans and scholarships.

If you don't think you can afford to go, think again. Chances are good that you will receive money for college. Most students get thousands of dollars in loans and scholarships. Visit the Department of Education's Financial Aid Help Site. If you have further questions, call 1-800-832-2464.
